I need this Harddrive for my niece and I have to get rid of Mandrake and load Win98. Don't ask - I haven't had time to get aquainted with Linux enough to know what I'm doing. All help will be appreciated. Thank you - Mike

Probably the easiest way to do this is to find a Dos or Windows bootdisk with fdisk on it. Boot from the bootdisk, and run fdisk. Then just remove the Mandrake partition(s). Then you need to repartition it, while still in fdisk, with a FAT partition. Then you'll need to reboot. Boot up from the bootdisk again, and format the C: drive. That should give you a blank drive, ready for Win98.

Thanks for the reply. Actualy I ended up running Linux as a new install and cleared those partitions out. Then I went to Win98 boot and ran fdisk and deleted those partitions and repartitioned for DOS and C: Took me a few tries to get it right, but perseverance furthers. http://discussions.linuxplanet.com/wink.gif
