when i run "vncserver -depth 16" then use a viewer, some of/well most of the colours appear funny :/

however...24bit depth works fine??!?!

can some1 tell me where i'm going wrong?

Don't really know what it could be. Have you had a look at the FAQ's here http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/

I get the same funky colors with 32 depth.

I use VNC, but never specify the color depth. Never had any display problems while using it for NT, AIX and Linux.
