In Man 8.2/Knoqueror, can I search for files on a CD, ZIP, and/or floppy? I can not find any way to select these sources in the Find File window.

If I can not do it in Konqueror, is there another program where I can?

BTW This is my first post from Linux

Thanks Bill

You have to think a little differently when using Linux... Don't concern yourself with drives, just mount points. When you installed Mandrake, I'm sure it made directories in /mnt for your drives, including /mnt/floppy and /mnt/cdrom.

Mount the drive, then when you go to Find Files, either browse to the mount point, or just use the pull-down next to "Look In:" and choose "file:/mnt".

If you're using Konqueror just navigate to /mnt/cdrom/ or /mnt/floppy/ ala Windows. Supermount should have been installed on your installation but you might check the Software Manager.
