Quite good I guess. I find Webmin to be easy to install and configure for use. http://www.webmin.com/webmin/download.html So what exactly is your problem with Webmin? As long as it's installed properly, then you just point to http://localhost:10000/ [ 18 July 2001: Message edited by: mdwatts the 3rd ] dvdnut 07-18-2001, 08:44 AM webmin is installed fine, and is running as a service, put a port scan doesnt show up 10000 as an open port when entering localhost:10000 it reports an error saying connection with host broken or words to that effect where are the rules for tiny firewall kept so i can release this port to be used? ssadams 07-18-2001, 10:38 AM on the Mandrake 8.0 I tried it required https://localhost:10000 [ 18 July 2001: Message edited by: ssadams ] bdw72 07-19-2001, 08:54 AM I had the same problem with webmin, so I found the config file /etc/webmin/?.conf (I believe) and looked at the port it was trying to use, there were two port setting, one was 10000 and the other was 10001. Well port 10000 was reserved for NDMP so I changed the config file to use port 10001. rebooted and then type in https://localhost:10001, into my web browser and it worked just fine. Hope this helps. yogee 07-19-2001, 09:34 AM Originally posted by bdw72: <STRONG>I had the same problem with webmin, so I found the config file /etc/webmin/?.conf (I believe) and looked at the port it was trying to use, there were two port setting, one was 10000 and the other was 10001.
