I am brand new to Linux (just opened the box this morning) and am trying to install it. I have tried the install twice now on 2 different machines. One is an HP Brio and the other is an HP NetServer E800. I am trying to do a KDE workstation install and in both instances, I get to the point where the packages are installing and then the machine just sits there. I let the Brio sit for about 1/2 hour and then figured maybe the hardware was not up to par, so I tried it on the E800 with the same results. I'm sure it's something very simple, but I have no more ideas. Can someone help me out?

Thanks!

Please provide the hardware spec and the distribution of GNU/Linux that you are using? RedHat? Mandrake? SuSE?

Also, have you checked that your hardware is supported?

Figures.............as soon as I post a question, I figure out what I did wrong. Anyway, it's installing as I type this. Thanks for your help though!
