I have a cable modem and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the easiest and/or best ways to share the connection between a Linux and Windows Computer.

i just installed redhat 7 about 2 weeks ago (dual boot with 98) and i have a linksys 4 port cable/dsl router in place. i'm able to connect with all three of my boxes (the RH, win2k ad server, and win98) to one DSL connection. all i had to do was configure redhat to use dhcp (another feature of the router) and it connected no problem.

hope this helps.

I believe Linux Mandrake (http://www.linux-mandrake.com/) has an Internet connection sharing tool with it.
