A few simple shell commands, a little patience, and alot of Google trolling and in the space of 2 days I have written a call and response program/script in each of Perl, Python, Tcl, Java, C and LISP. No big deal except for the fact that it was no trouble doing so. And all for free.
I'm about 1 month into my Linux experience and really starting to feel comfortable with the directory tree, permissions, admin commands, install process, etc, etc. My greatest asset has been that I am stubborn. So, to avoid getting another message moved to /dev/random, that is my "How I did it" story. Persistence and Google. Also, of course, a fascination with computer languages. Syntax makes me giggle.
Later, taters.
