bind a sequence of keys to run an application? I just installed 3ddesk and it works great but I can't seem to figure out the key binding thing.

I want to bind CTRL+SHIFT+D to /usr/bin3ddesk

I am still reading up on this but I figured I could ask for a primer.... Thanks!

Is this to make typing one handed more convenient?

it's so I can use a keyboard command instead of a console to run this app. Here is the site (http://desk3d.sourceforge.net/index.php) where I got the desktop changer application. It's a 3D desktop changer that I like, is it required that I have it? No I thought it would be cool to show some of what Linux can do.

Does this mean you no longer type on two PC's at the same time?

Hmm, in wmaker you could do this with the menu editor in the wmaker config util. Simply add a command to do what you want, and then give it a key shortcut (ctrl-shift-D or whatever.) In other window managers, the process would be similar I imagine, assuming they support key combinations for apps.
