I'm going pretty smooth with my new mandrake 8.0 box and I have my essentials all working and am currently downloading KDE2 which has built in support for the gphoto2 and interface. but why I'm here is I have noticed that with browsing, the main text fonts look wierd kinda crooked, some small case letters smaller than the other small case letters and I'm finding myself straining to read some web sites. This problem is only with the browsers not with any other app nor with the KDE desktop I'm using. I've tried to manipulate the desktop fonts with no success as well as tried the browsers preference fonts with no help, it seems I can only change the size I also tried the kde browser just to see if maybe it was netscape 4.77 but got same results with that browser as well. I think that this is related to html somehow. I'll try to get a screen shot attached. Linux just feels better to me than windows ever did wish I had come earlier to this new world of computing. Any help is appreciated very much. P.S.
This is by far one of the most usefull sites I've found so far. Thanks, Eric

Haha, netscape 4.7... /me shivers...I remember the nightmares I had using netscape with mandrake 8.0. I still use it, I mean mandrake8.0 :D. I highly recommend downloading mozilla 1.1 it's far better and much more stable and nicer looking too. Another thing you might want to install true type fonts. Follow the instructions in this link and you'll be set. Oh yeah one more thing, don't use Drakfont to install the fonts it sux0rs with mandrake 8.0. Follow the next procedure after that. If ya need any more help just post on here ;)
