CPU Temp

Is there a way to monitor the cpu temp through the /proc file system. Any special selections in kernel compilation to make /proc/acpi show up?

There is " lmsensors" of which there are several frontends for the application. It can be found here

Thanks John . Im usually pretty anal about getting into my bios from time to time so I dont usually use a cpu temp monitor , but its good to know .
