i'm not too sure about this problem, or the cause, but here's my info:
i'm trying to get my CMI8330 soundcard to work in Slackware 7.1.... I followed the NHF ("getting your CMI8330 soundcard to work in Slackware 7.1") and it didn't work... i used the irq's from windows, and it still had conflicts. after i installed the new isapnp.conf file, i ran it, and it told me the errors, and i fixed them for the most part, then it said there was a (ISOLATE PRESERVE) error...
so i opened netscape to view the NHF again, and netscape couldn't find anything, but my modem was still on...
i'm in windows now and posting from here...
is it possible that i chose an IRQ that was needed by my NIC? it's a d-link 528 and my soundcard is a CMI8330... please help on any of the issues i posted....
------------------
my love for you is ticking clock, berzeeerrrrrrker...
would you like to suck my **** berzeeeerrrrrrker.....
