FM's to R?

Hey all. I know the title is somewhat cryptic, but it is quite accurate.
I have learned that they don't say RTFM for nothing.
Now I'm looking for them! I'm running Linux Mandrake 8.0 and I'm wondering where I can find readme's, guides, info, manuals, etc. you know, stuff to learn about Linux as to stop being so newbiesh.

The Linux Documentation Project (http://www.linuxdoc.org) is the place to go for the guides, HOW-TOs, FAQs, and man pages.

man <whatever command you want to know about>
man -k <the topic for which you want to find a man page>
check out /usr/doc for manuals for stuff you have installed
go to the homepage of whatever program you are wondering about
go to the LDP as linked above
go to search at Linux Google (http://www.google.com/linux)

That's a good start and will find answers to well over half of most questions asked here.
