Yep, when I type "make" I get a command not found message...
any suggestions?

I believe that it is part of the development tools or something like that. I didnt install those once and it screwed me. Could be the problem.

Either not in your path or not installed. Check for the 'make' package.

Yeah, if find / -name make -print doesn't show you where it is, then you probably didn't install it. What distro are you using?

Thanks guys, i remember having this prob a while ago, but don't remember how I fixed it.
I will do the install tonight of devel. pkgs. and will post here when I do.

that worked, but rh is kinda poopy...
i selected ONE package, thinking it would take just a moment, but nooooo.
RedHat decided it should install 112 other packages, so it took a while.
Finally, got Roaring Penguin compiled and up with my brand new DSL connection.
WOOHOO!

I am only 4k feet from the switch...!!!
MUCH better than the old trusty 56k....
