BOOKS! need a all around running (updated)linux booksuggestions?

thats about it i have an old running linux book (copyright 1995print history 1995 however 6 years have passed sence the printing of this edition im looking for something like it but with new current info and coverage on slack i hit book stores and barnes didnt even have the slack essentials :(

so any suggestions would be great cause im siting here with 60 bucks for another book and not entirely sure what to pick up :)

If you want book specific to Slackware, then there are a couple here in the LNO bookshelf. (http://www.linuxnewbie.org/bookshelf/bs-12.html). No mention of the publishing date though.
