Good open source 3d modeling and animation program for linux?

I am looking for a good 3d modeling and animation program that is open source. Blender and AC3D aren't open source. Are there any good open source ones?

I was in the bookstore the other day when I saw this in the Linux section. All I could say was "Ohhh my Gawd!" Very impresive. I have used 3DStudio Max in the past and must say they are definitely on their way.

I haven't played with this app yet because I left the animation world and do not feel like investing on a real video card. If you try it and like it, let me know.

I have a feeling that open source 3d programs are kinda hard to find. I know I haven't found any nice ones. (Blender would be nice for open source)
