java on mandrake8.2

I have downloaded the jre1.3.1_04 kit from sun. I installed it and it works well in mozilla. I cannot however get the tool in the konquerer web browser to see the plugin and use the java executeable.

If someone has done before please advise. I am running low on ideas.

I found the answer.
In the config for konquerer under path to java executeable I was ommiting the word java at the end. really stupid.
example: /usr/java/jre1.3.1_04/bin/java

That last little java was a killer.

Note: use the sun jre as the others suck.
tried them all. the sun one works without causing instability in kde windows. works really great in mozilla.
