I want to reinstall linux (caldera openlinux 3.1 workstation) because something screwed up and i was planning to re-install for practice / knowledge whatever..so i thought might as well now.. so can i just totally install it again over my existing install?
or do i have to format my partitions and install...or can i just delete the partitions for it and make new ones? a fairly simple question - shouldnt be much trouble for all u geniouses :)

I'd be pretty much certain (95%) that the Caldera setup will give you the oppotunity to use the same partitions and format them as part of the install process. You might like to keep the /home partition if it is seperate because that is where user files are kept, however if you have nothing you want to keep then you can format that too.

Doing the Expert Install will allow you to repartition, maintain the existing partitions, change the mountpoint and format the existing partitions if necessary.
