mouse driver change

Ok, I feel silly asking this but here I go.

I changed my mouse from an intelimouse to a basic ps/2 mouse. Now the mouse has gone beserk in both gpm and in gnome. Was wondering if anyone knows the quickest way to reinitialize/reinstall the mouse drivers.

Edit your XF86Config-4 file. You specify the driver in there.

I think you want to change "ImPS/2" to "PS/2". Possibly. Probably.

and do likewise in the gpm conf file.

If your mouse use in gnome goes through the gpm data, then all you want to do is change the gpm config and the gnome should be fine.
