Mac Plus

OK - it isn't a Mac forum - but since Apple went the way of Unix, I thought I might slide this in...

I'm looking for old Mac Pluses whose screens are still working... need a screen for mine. Had it since 1987 and just can't get myself to part with it. But, I can't read the screen anymore, so...

Anyone?

get glasses then buy a new computer I would suggest. There is more power out there. Seek knowledge and screaming speed.

I haven't kept the Mac Plus for 15 years just to get rid of it. I've built myself a decent AMD system, just looking to patch up the old Mac for sentimental reasons.

Just thought someone might have one lying around, taking up space. :)

maybe you should try modifying another screen of some sort to work with it. Just remember to leave it unplugged for a while and then turn it on to discharge some of the power from it. Its not pleasent if you poke the wrong thing while it has some power stored.

I've heard that touching the wrong thing on a monitor screen can be exciting, in a major electrical burn, kickstart your heart sort of way. It's been unplugged for a good 4 years - think there may still be some stored juice in there?

lick like you would a nine volt battery and find out. Just remember that its not the heart stopping that you should worry about with that sort of thing. its being thrown against a wall and living that should bug you.
