Hello all.
I have a OpenOffice.org 1.0.1 installed. I am so happy with my configuration that I removed the setup directory (where I untarred the source). However, I am now going to try to convert my girlfriend so that I can delete my windows partition. I want to run the setup script for a workstation install to get the "per user" files and directories into her home directory. Am I able to do this from the "server" directory of OpenOffice?
Thanks.

Yes.
As the user you want to install it for run
/path/to/OpenOffice.org/program/setup

When I run that /usr/local/OpenOffice1.0.1/program/setup it asks if I want to repair or remove. I need the option to install workstation.
I'm wondering if this is only available from the unpacked installation file.

If I understand correctly, I think you missed a step. You are probably running it from a local install. In other words, you probably have to uninstall then reinstall, but this time use ".../setup -net". You'll know that you're on the right track because it won't ask you for your name, location, email address, phone #, etc.
After it has installed, you should then follow demian's suggestion. His suggestion will bring up the part that asks you for your name, location, email address, phone #, etc. You'll know that you are on the right track when it gives a couple of install options and one of them says that it will only take about 2MB extra.
When you installed your present installation, were you asked for your name, location, email address, phone #, etc.?
Also, I'm glad to hear that you are encouraging her to use Linux. I really hope that she likes it. If there is anything that she doesn't know how to do, then let us know. I don't monitor this forum all the time, so I can't make any promises, but I'll try to keep an eye out for you.
