Square mouse cursor

I just installed RH 7.3 on my laptop and I came up with a square mouse. I tried to use the

Option "sw_cursor" in the device section, I also
tried
Option "no_accel", both did not help. Any other ideas.

For all those who have looked here was the solution

I was running XFree86 v 4.x and editing the XF86Config file

Once I edited the XF86Config-4 file and set the option "SWCursor"

my mouse came back.

As a side note I also changed my symbolic link from /etc/X11/X that points to /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_SVGA

and made /etc/X11/X point to /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86
