my comp. has 3 hd's 2 SCSI: Id's 0 & 1
and 1 IDE hd
SCSI id 0: 1GB SCSI id 1: 17.8GB and IDE drive: 6.4GB
The final part of the mandrake install asks you to configure the bootmanagaer. It asks where the MBR is.
I am booting with the SCSI id 1 which is recognized as sdb and has partitons sdb1 (windows) & sdb 5 (extended)
where is the master boot record? in sdb or sdb1??? Moreover is there any advantage to installing mandrake on a primary ext2 partitions as opposed to installing it on a logical ext2 drive??
