I want to configure a RH7.3 Linux box as a DHCP server, DNS server, and a firewall. I want to protect a small section of my LAN from the rest of the LAN with this box. I want the Linux box to hand out IPs to each machine behind it on the LAN.
Does Redhat come with a DHCP server in the RPMs? I know you can choose DNS server during setup, and that's what I plan to do. I've used Guarddog firewall, and really like how easy it is, so I'd like to use this.
Does anybody know if this is a good idea? I need some help finding DHCP server software.
Thanks
