This has been difficult! I want to install Linux with Win98 remaining on my system. I have Partition Magic and BootMagic. My goal is to use BootMagic to boot to either OP System. I have been messing around withthe partitions but no luck. i somehow did install linux but it took over my system. Had to reinstall Windows from a CDROM. I now can't even get Past installation, what the hell is a Mount Point for Root. tried everything but no luck. Should I have selected Gnome? I only have 2 gigs on my harddrive. How should I pertition and setup?

what linux distro are you using? anyways, the mount point is where you want to place the various directories/partitions (usually root and the swap space). i have not used the two products you refer to in your post so i can't offer you any help there. it sounds like you might not have formatted your drive before your re-installs and thus have residual partions formatted for linux and that is why your distro is asking where you would like to mount it. depending on the distro (sounds like red-hat or mandrake) you should be able to just type a "/" for root and something like "/dev/hda3" or whatever to get you past this point. then again i might be wrong - i am only speculating on your problems since i am by no stretch of the imagination a guru.
