It's like using one distro over another.

Or another editor.

Or another development environment.

Or another office suite.

etc., etc., ad nauseum.

It's just preference, mostly.

FYI, Mozilla is based on Netscape, which is one of the original web browsers. Konquerer has only been in development for the past few years.

i wouldnt recommend konquerer because for me it just doesn't work all the time. theres some pages (like my own) where the html/js just isnt displayed correctly or at all. it doesnt even display my counter correctly!

on the other hand... mozilla works great and has all the cool features like tabs and pop-up blocking.

But another point i would like to make is that Mozilla takes couple seconds to start up and uses a lot more resources then Konqueror. Thats why sometimes i prefer to use konqueror.

for me, mozilla feels more rough. Like if i type in a url into a new tab, then it doesn't center on the page, so i have to click on the page to be able to scroll down using the arrow keys. However, i'm typing this on mozilla, so it isn't all bad. Whenever i'm in KDE though, i use konq.
