kazaa lite error

when i try to run kazaa lite i get an error of 'failed to create empty document' this error appears to be a kazaa program error and not a wine program error. any help? ive tried changing permisions on th files but to no avail

I get the same error...failed to create empty document. When i select ok...which is the only option...kazaa keeps loading and it actually comes up and then it closes automatically...and i get a wine error of status 5...so i dont know why its not working...would be nice if somebody knew what was up with this...

You're missing .dll's that Kazaa Lite needs. There have been posts in the past on where to get them from (the best place is a working 98 or ME installation) and what to do with them; a search of this forum and/or GLQ should turn it up.

Or, you could ditch Kazaa and Windows... and use something that works natively, although it is a different network (Kazaa's network is closed for some reason). Searching for gtk-gnutella on http://freshmeat.net should turn up some interesting things...

no no, kazza works just fine now thankyou. no need to get all crazy and use gnutella

Very well, if you want to use Wine, then go ahead. Just suggesting some (IMNSHO) easier alternatives.
