Gaim help?

I've got gaim running and i have the msn and yahoo plugins added.but it wont let me connect to them. i get "unable to read" for yahoo and oh wait msn just connected cool but yahoo still won't .please help!!

what version? Have you checked gaim.sourceforge.net to see if there's a known problem/bug with your version?

this may or may not help but however on this box Im using redhat 7.3 and the gaim that I installed when I installed redhat wouldnt connect I couldnt get it to connect to save my life. I went to gaim's site and downloaded/installed from there and it works great ever since. So if you're using redhat 7.3 and you're using the gaim that it came with then this may apply to you as I couldnt yahoo to connect either, if not then well this doesnt matter to you then :)

did you unistall the old gaim if so how. i have mandrake 8.2

rpm -e gaim also Im sure mandrake has some tools for installing/uninstalling packages I dont know as I've never used drake
