I'm using Red Hat 7.1. Can someone tell me the file to edit to make dhcpcd start at boot? I forget :(

Ok, that didn't work. The question still stands.

Just use netcfg(run from a terminal window) and edit your connection(eth0) to start via dhcp/bootp(drop down box) save, activate, restart network services or reboot(if you are really lazy).

But I use @Home and only use the hostname.

Everytime I want to get online, I need to type dhcpcd -h hostname. I just need to know the file to put that command in so I wont have to type it everytime.

Do you have pump installed? Normally, that will do it for you.

Don't bother with pump. dhcpcd is the best client. Just add 'dhcpcd -h your_hostname' to /etc/rc.d/rc.local.
