Hey guys

I'm a newbie and I'm getting ready to build my first computer. I was wondering if anyone knows of any problems with Linux and an AMD T-Bird( 1.2Ghz). I also need advice on Video Cards and Motherboards. I was told that I have to get a motherboard that is compatible with the processor I want and also with the video card. I would appreciate any help you guys could offer. I haven't decided on which Linux dist. I'm going to use yet. Thanks.

You should have no problems with the CPU. As far as mobo's go, I like Asus, Abit and MSI. Video cards I use a Geforce 2 MX.

You should be ok :-)

<Joke>Nope...linux won't work with a 1.2ghz tbird...but if you send me the chip, I'll send you a p3866 that it will work on ;)</joke>

Actualy, you should have no problems running linux on this system. But..if you want to send me the tbird anyway..... ;)
