java not saving history?

when i play games on yahoo with msie,after it loads the applet the first time it remembers it and on future visits there isnt the long wait before you play. opera isnt remembering the applet and reloads it every time which makes it take to long. how can i change this?



im running opera 6.03 with java 1.3.1_04

When you say MSIE I'm not sure whether or not you are using Opera for Windows or for Linux, but I will assume with Linux.

Here (http://www.opera.com/support/supsearch/supsearch.cgi?index=459) it says that "Opera 5.05 or newer is required for Netscape plugin and Java support. Opera 6 is recommended. These instructions are for Opera 6 for Linux, which uses the Java plugin for Netscape 4 to display Java applets on the web. (Please note that the Java plugin has some problems that we cannot solve, such as refusing to download some applets. We are working on a permanent solution to this.)"

I know this isn't exactly a solution, but it might explain your problem.

well, i am running opera in linux yes. my prob isnt getting it to work at all though im just trying to find out if theres something i need to do so that it will pull the applet from history like ie does instead ofdownloading the whole thing every time
