After partitioning everything out my drives are as follows:

/dev/hda1 is swap
/dev/hda2 is /
/dev/hda3 is /home
/dev/hdc is cdrom

When I looked in my /etc/fstab and /etc/mtab I found that / is of file type "minix". I've noticed that most all / partitions are set up as file type "ext2". Is the default of "minix" normal/okay to have or should I edit this to "ext2". So far, I have not had a successful install of Slackware 8.0, but I'm getting there. Most of the problems (kernel panics) seem to come from the cdrom drive or cd itself. I'm hammering out the kinks slowly, but I'm learning alot. I just wonder if any other Slackers out there have the same file type for /.

Thanks!:)
