Hello, I am new to Linux and I have downloaded Mandrake 8.0 and will install it on an old 366 machine I have as soon as I replace the case.
I have a question tho, does Mandrake 8.0 let me have two processors running at once? I know Windows 2k supports this feature, but does linux too?
if it does, will it detect on setup or would I have to tell it that there are two?
Please let me know either way. It won't be til next weekend till I can get it all setup anyway.

I'm not familiar with Mandrake 8.0, but if it uses the new 2.4 Linux kernel, it's been optimized for better SMP performance. Regardless, it should run fine on a multi-processor system.

ilnux fully supports SMP....mandrake should support it out of the box, but if it doesnt, its simple to build a new kernel with support
