I just installed Mandrake 7.0 and now I cannot get my ethernet card to work. The module is installed correctly but when I restart the network, it says eth0 failed. Mandrake 6.0/Redhat 6.0 had a command "pump" that would issue a dhcp request. Mandrake 7.0 doesn't have this command. Anyone know how to do a Dhcp request? There isn't even a howto anymore for it

In RH/Mandrake 6.0 you could go in to Control Panel, select the network icon, select ETH0, click edit, this would then allow you to select an interface configuration protocol of either statc, bootp or dhcp.....

Thanks. The problem was that dhcpcd was not installed. Everything works great now
