Hi all,
I am installing my first Linux - RH 7.3, on a blank 30GB disk which I let the installation partition automatically. The PC is a Celeron 566MHz with 128MB Ram. The error message I get at random times (three times I have tried the installation and all three I received the error) is:
<<
There was an error installing <filename.ext>. This can indicate media failure, lack of disk space, and/or hardware problems. This is a fatal error and your install will be aborted. Please verify your media and try your install again.
Press the OK button to reboot your system.
>>
For the last two installations, the <filename.ext> was first aspell-fr-0.1-1 and then gnumeric-1.0.5-3. However I think the problem is somewhere else - oh! I forgot to mention that I downloaded the iso images myself, burned them and did the 'mediacheck' tests included in the installation for all three installation disks, which the CDs passed.
I am waiting for your valuable suggestions. Sorry for long message
Thanks in advance
