Changing resolution

After setting up the resloution in the installation of my redhat disto (7.1) i dont seem to be able to change the resolution of color depth, their does not seem to be a an option for it,.

Am i missing somthing or just being very stupid ! or is their no easy hot swap option in linux to change these two settings. i know that their i sthe desktop control panel avalible for the matrox cards but is their the same thing avalible for the voodoo 3 cards? :confused:

assuming you've set up more than one resolution/color depth, you should be able to change to another with <ctrl><alt><+> or <ctrl><alt><->

BTW, there is nothing stupid, that's why this is linux NEWBIE! :)
