I am a newbee, and I have been trying to get my @Home cable modem to work. I have a 3Com3c90 NIC and I'm not sure it is loaded correctly.I am running Mandrake 7.2. I have looked on all the different messages and tried all the changes the other users have stated and I still can't get connected. Please help, I get no help from @Home and I have no one to ask. I have also read the other post below and it didn't seem to help.

I just set up Red hat 7.0 with @home.. I dont know if this will help for mandrake or not but I used /sbin/linuxconf to set up mine it pays to no what IP @home uses for your machine(*note @home usally never changes your IP, so theres not really a need for DCHP, but they do request that you regester on their website). in linuxconf under networking>client tasks>basic host info you can set your network cards module( kindof like a driver for us newbie's you can find out which one to use from 3com's site) here you can also set your host (yourcompname.athomeserver.state.home.com [mine is c368447-b.boise1.id.home.com]),IP, subnet mask, and gateway. Once all that is done it should work...
