I finally got my network up....BAD NICK...Now How can I acces the net?

I spent sleeples night trying to stup my gateway server up. Finally I figured out that the last card I bought was bad. The machines can ping each other. Now how do I get the client to acces the gateway. The gateway should be setup. I am using Clarkconnet.org's mini gateway distro based on RedHat.

When you write "gateway" do you mean a computer from Gateway or an IP gateway ?
Which system do you run on each computer ?
How shall your (IP) gateway be connected to internet : permanently, dial up on demand ?
