while trying to install rh linux 6.2 i get the following error messages exactly before any packages are written to disk. the following is the error message::

Exception in thread-3:
Traceback (innermost last):

File "/usr/lib/python1.5/threading.py, line 376, in..bootstrapself.run()

File "/usr/lib/anaconda/iw/progress.py", line16, in run rc=self.todo doinstall()

...there are other similar messages....and so.... until the end of the page where it says the following:

Hmm.. If it was downloaded, how did the md5sum check out? If the cd was burned, did you try another assuming a good md5sum?

Did it come with books?

Redhat 6.2 has a doc directory with their manuals. I think there is a way to pass media check to the install somehow. Try that and see if the media checks out ok.

See if there are any "gotchas" in the erratta on their documentation page (http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/) as well.
