I don't want that on my machine. Trust me, I know what I'm doing by taking that off, it needs to go.
Well..I don't know what I'm doing since, well, I'm posting here, but I don't want it on the machine.(last day @ work before school happy&crazy)

Yeah, sorry. How can I get rid of that? It takes too long to boot up using that and I'm not going to be adding/taking away HW.

Since you don't mention what distro you are running ...... try disabling 'kudzu' in the "Services" section of linuxconf, or whatever it's called in your distro.
