I have a es1370 audiopci
(creative labs) and when i try to config it,it says "/lib/modules/2.4.18-6mdk/kernel/drivers/sound/es1371.o.gz: init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
modprobe: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.18-6mdk/kernel/drivers/sound/es1371.o.gz failed
modprobe: insmod es1371 failed"

Someone said i am using the wrong diver, but what should i do?

Have you tried the use es1370 module? modprobe es1370
The es1371 module will not work on es1370 cards.

Could be due to a resource conflict.

Try disabling PnP OS in the bios.

Both of these are good ideas.

I have both an es1370 and an es1371. Confusing the two will get you no sound-- make sure you use the es1370 module...
