Sorry if this is something that's been posted here before.
How do I set it so my CD-ROM and floppy are mounted automatically when I enter the relevant directory?

Look in fstab. You should change the noauto option to auto. There should be an NHF if you need further assistance.

Doesn't the auto option mean that it'll mount the drives when Linux is booted? *goes to check fstab*

Oh, my bad. I didn't read the question right. I don't think there's a way to do what you're talking about, at least not at the console. That's not a certainty though.

Where is fstab?

Look in /etc. That's where most of your system configuration files are anyway.

Nevermind, found it.
OK, it only has one of my CD Drives listed, yet I have a CDROM and a Writer. Should I add something to fstab for my other drive?

What you want is probably supermount (http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Lab/8144/supermount.html)...
