i wanna switch my mouse from usb to ps2 in mandrake , what is the best way ? just move it ? will it autodetect ?
or is it complicated like most things in linux ;)

The following line described the *protocol*, it has nothing to do with what port the mouse is plugged into. Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2" You can go to your "/etc/X11/XF86Config-4" file and change it to whatever you want. To test it out just run X (not startx) and if your mouse seems to repond fine then it's working, ctrl-alt-backspace to get out of X.
