Debian Mouse Prob

I am running Stormix. I did an upgrade to XFree86 4.0.2 (glibc2.1). My mouse stopped working. It still works in the command line, but refuses to work in X.

ps, i tried lots of mouse drivers...currently /dev/psaux with ps2 protocol...and I am using XF86config to set the crap up...

Sometimes X doesn't like it when other mouse programs are running. Try disabling gpm, then restart X.
