Password Denial

I installed Red Hat 7.3 dual boot with windows99se. Grub loader. My local host password was accepted at instalation, but login to localhost is denied. How do I work around this first problem. Help! jbg1@sbcglobal.net

Just to make sure

You should have entered a root password and created a user account during install. Are you using the right password?

Are you trying to log in as root? and remember the password is case sensitive.
