60 hours ?????

Please tell me I am not really seeing this??? Almost 60 hours for Mandrake 7.2? I am in ME trying this on a cable modem. Say it isn't true I am feeling adventureous(?) Buddy at work getting Slack 7.1 for me over the weekend from work.

Oooh, download time? Took me a few minutes to figure that out. I tried downloading a star trek episode from a usualy fast server, but its been crawling. I've got a feeling it's somethign to do with California (maybe - I'm getting <1k/sec, on a 10Mbit network connection with no other users at this time!)

Try out a few different ftp sites, there's a lot of speed difference. I found an FTP server in Georgia (I live in Florida) and was able to d/l it in twenty minutes with the cable modem, and an hour now that I've switched to dsl. Using a program like download accelerator helps too.
