Totally Cluless with the Internet Dialer

This is my second day using Man8.0 and I think it's far better than my WME. How can I get the dns and IP for my current isp(AOL)? I read a few intructions but it does not have the details i really need to connect through PPP. God! I am feel so....clueless, like, totally! Any linux guru? Please help?

ps - As soon as I get ethernet wires, I won't have to worry about dialing up with my Linux. I'll just use WME to hook up to the net. (any better ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated)

i dont think you can use aol very well with linux.

i have seen postings somewhere here about a fix for it, but it would be eaiser to use someone else.

not linux's fault, cept aol developed their kit to work with windows only
