Apt-Get help please?

Hi ok this is my problem.

How come when I do apt-get install something and it says it has unmet dependencies it doesn't install? I thought it was supposed to download them automaticly?

Sometimes apt-get dosent have access to the dependances of a given package (For example, the package was just upgraded, but the supporting packages are too old to support the new one)

This dosen't happen very often (mostly when you're running unstable) but when it does, it can be incredibly annoying ;)

Its hard for one package maintainer to keep up with the versions of everything else, so as a result, some things break every once and awhile.
