I have a MA 401 Netgear wireless PCMCIA card for my laptop. I have been trying for the past week to get the card to run. I downloaded the drivers for the Prism II chipset and I ran the make pccard and that ran. Then I tried to run the make install_pccard and it said that it can't do it and I need to compile hostap_cs.o. Has anyone got the card to work and if so could you please help me. I am trying to get away from using windows but I need internet connection. Thanks

Many people have luck with the Orinco (sp?) drivers that are part of the latest kernel.

The orinoco and prism are different chipsets... Orinoco is good for wardriving, while prism is good for cracking wep. ;)
