god damn piece of SH!T LICQ!!! password problems!

still the same damn thing
my password is at least 8 charecters long i double and triple checked it in windows and STILL it says its incorrect
WTF is the deal here!!!!!

this is licq 1.0 and its pissin me off!

Does licq have problems with passwords with more thab 8 characters? Go into windows, change your ICQ password to 8 or less characters. I use licq and my password is only six characters long.

yea i just got done changing it in windows to a 8 char pw it was 3 but i still get this problem figures when i am trying to access servers under the hold of aohell
its really pissin me off bad!
i KNOW WITH OUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT that my PW is correct! yet still LICQ SWEARS its incorrect

I thought I had done something wrong when it told me the same thing...now I am beginning to feel the same way.

Does anyone know what file I have to delete or edit to fix this?

BTW, my PW is only 7 characters...

grrrr well here i am i must have changed my pw like 30 friggin times now and NO LUCK...nada zero zilch
what gives has anybody else had THIS problem? with LICQ 1.0

Take a look in /home/<username>/.licq/ owner.uin, it's a hidden file that contains your licq number password and such.

man it took me a day or so to get icq installed and now its doing this what a major pain in the ***

My pw is 8 chars long.

Also, the GTK+ plugin sucks. You can never enter the password for a new account. You can get around it by using the console plugin unless you can get Qt installed on your system (gave me headaches with library conflicts).

But anyway, try older versions of LICQ.

i deleted the licq dir in my root dir
then made a new base dir (licq -b /root/.licq)
