Hello,
I need help in finding what I need to build a wireless (network ?) for cable internet sharing. I know NOTHING about networking. My systems:

1 Linux desktop (main computer)
1 Mac laptop (OS 9.x or X)
1 toshiba laptop (windows)

I have considered a cable/dsl router
(wires) I don't want to run wires(I'm lazy).
I probably will not need to share files, but that could change. I suppose I could use another computer to send backups to. What will I need besides the cabel modem?

TIA

I have cable modem at home. Bought a router/firewall which is serving as a DHCP server and also internet sharing via NAT. Bought a wireless access point, connected to the router, and all of it flies. I am using Redhat 7.3. Found during installation, it you use the laptop option, I had no problems. Config the wireless card under system, network configuration.
